Borderland State Park Picnic

It's been a big week for us at BSLC. Last night we worked out the details of the rental agreement for the space in the Parish House of The First Unitarian Church in Dedham. The board of deacons generously agreed to rent us the space for half price in our start-up year, which will be a huge help. We will also have our own entrance and address on the Bullard St. side of the property, where we can post some signage and possibly have our own mailing address. First church is very enthusiastic about our program and continues to be very supportive of BSLC.

For the last few weeks BSLC's staff has been hard at work planning and programming for our Spring Session. Among the many activities we have arranged are a Robotics workshop at the MIT museum, a 3-D printing workshop, a trip to the Hale Reservation ropes course and a variety of other workshops. I'm looking forward to it. In developing the Spring program we have designed the activities and classes as introductions to things we can offer as regular weekly courses next Fall if there is sufficient student interest.

Early next week we will be posting the full Spring schedule on the website, as well as information on all of our activities and outings. I will also send parents and students an email and post the same content on the google group. If there is anything else I can do to facilitate communications please let me know.
